Do you wish you had a health researcher in your back pocket?  Wouldn’t you love it you didn’t feel compelled to jump from one supplement to another?

If you had your own health researcher, you’d be able to relax and focus on living, instead of having to muddle through supplement product literature or magazine articles to make sense of the ever-changing health information.  If you knew more about nutrition and supplements, you wouldn’t have to waste money on the latest gimmicky product that “Auntie Sue” is trying to get you to buy.

But right now, it is hard to figure out what you should be doing to stay healthy.

It seems that each week, “science” brings another contradiction from the week before:  “Don’t eat butter!  No, eat butter!”  You feel overwhelmed because sometimes you feel like you need to read the articles with a dictionary beside you (and even then, some of the words aren’t in the dictionary!).  You’re worried because you’ve heard that our food might not have the nutrients we need, but you don’t know which nutrients we do need to get from bottles, which to get from food.

You’ve lost track of why you bought what.  They may even have expired by now.  You don’t even want to know how much money you’ve spent on those products.  But because you eat real food and you lead an active lifestyle, you can’t even be certain that those supplements are doing anything.

I’ve tried a lot of different supplements and I don’t even want to tally up how much money I spent on them.  Once I learned more about nutrition, herbs, and food-based nutrients, I finally managed to simplify everything so that I could just eat real food and drink herbal tea, using only 1-2 extra nutrients and the occasional herbal tincture.

I offer you access to my health-related knowledge and experience. In your session, you will have the opportunity to ask those burning questions. We will prioritize them together and discuss the most pressing concerns in the office session.  I’ll then devote up to an hour of my time outside of our visit, drafting a response to any remaining questions.  You won’t get a wellness plan but you’ll feel more secure in your food and nutrient choices.

I remember being frustrated too.  I had an infant and I was working full-time; when he became ill, so did I.  His skin started out so smooth, but then he developed eczema and his cheeks felt like sandpaper.  When he didn’t sleep, neither did I.  What I needed was someone to support and nourish me, point me to resources, and offer clear guidance, as I soothed and nourished my child.

Moms with young children should be able to address their entwined wellness problems.

We will step back and take a whole-person approach to your health.  We will talk about food choices, the use of nutrients for energy and specific herbs for sleep.  We will integrate extra nutrients into your foods so you don’t have to use a bucket of supplements.  In-office visits will also include integrative bodywork – assisted yoga on a table – so you’ll leave feeling taller, lighter, and more refreshed.
